  11. CAMBRIDGE, Mass.—- January 7, 1991--ON Technology, Inc. today introduced
  12. Meeting Maker™, a Macintosh network application that helps you plan, schedule
  13. and confirm meetings without leaving your computer.

  15. “Meeting Maker provides the easiest, most precise way to set up meetings,” said
  16. Conall Ryan, ON Technology's president.  “If your workgroup wants to
  17. collaborate more efficiently, Meeting Maker gets the right people in the right
  18. place at the right time.”

  20. The new software, which will begin shipping in the first quarter of 1991,
  21. automatically compares schedules to pinpoint the ideal time for a meeting.
  22. It also allows you to send meeting invitations, track responses, follow up
  23. flawlessly on schedule changes or cancellations, and distribute agendas.

  25. The heart of the product is the ability to propose meetings to co-workers over
  26. your Macintosh network.  The Propose Meeting feature allows you to schedule a
  27. time and date, select required guests, reserve rooms and resources and prepare
  28. agendas.  If you’re in a hurry, Meeting Maker's Auto-Pick feature will find the
  29. first available time for all required attendees.

  31. Meeting Maker also has a personal calendar that displays up to fourteen days in
  32. one window.  You can block out activities, meetings, private work sessions,
  33. even recurring weekly or monthly appointments in a single step.  You also can
  34. call up full details about any activity or meeting on your calendar, navigate
  35. to any day of the year, or zoom to a full monthly view.  Meeting Maker includes
  36. a To Do List feature that lets you keep track of your personal itinerary and
  37. prioritize tasks.

  39. If you’re out of town or unavailable, and need someone to schedule meetings for
  40. you, Meeting Maker has a “Proxy” feature that allows another user to act on
  41. your behalf.  Proxies can manage your schedule from their own machines.
  42. Meeting Maker also allows you to print your calendar in popular appointment
  43. book formats, so  you can take a printed copy with you.

  45. Meeting Maker tracks responses to the proposal automatically by sending a
  46. message from the system to you when someone has responded to your request.   It
  47. displays the current status of each proposed meeting as fully confirmed,
  48. partially confirmed, or cancelled.

  50. “Meeting Maker condenses the complex and frustrating task of planning and
  51. proposing a meeting into a single activity,” said John Shagoury, Vice President
  52. of Sales and Marketing.  "Any Mac user who has ever had to set up a meeting
  53. between two or more people will be surprised they lasted this long without it.”

  56. ten-user pack.
